मगध हेडलाइंस: औरंगाबाद। 19 साल पुराने वाद में फिरौती के लिए अपहरण मामले में दोषी करार अभियुक्त को उम्र कैद की सज़ा सुनाई गई है। सजा प्राप्त एकमात्र अभियुक्त रोहतास जिले के जमुहार निवासी कपिल गिरि हैं। व्यवहार न्यायालय औरंगाबाद के एडीजे सात सुनील कुमार सिंह ने मामले में सज़ा सुनाई है। एपीपी सूर्यमल शर्मा ने बताया कि माली थाना की एक कांड में एकमात्र अभियुक्त को उम्र कैद की सज़ा सुनाई गई। अभियुक्त 05.06.23 को दोषी करार किया गया था।
आज न्यायालय ने सज़ा के बिंदु पर सुनवाई करते हुए अभियुक्त को आजीवन कारावास की सजा और 20 हजार जूर्माना लगाया है, जुर्माना न देने पर एक वर्ष अतिरिक्त कारावास होगी। सज़ा के बिंदु पर सुनवाई के दौरान बचाव पक्ष के अधिवक्ता ने उम्रदराज और प्रथम अपराध के कारण कम सज़ा की मांग की। वहीं एपीपी ने मांग की संज्ञेय और गैर-जमानती अपराध के कारण अधिकतम सज़ा की मांग की जिसमें दोनों पक्षों को सुनने के पश्चात न्यायालय ने अपना फैसला सुनाया।
अधिवक्ता सतीश कुमार स्नेही ने बताया कि प्राथमिकी सूचक माली थाना क्षेत्र के अंकोरहा गांव निवासी भीखर साहु ने अभियुक्त के खिलाफ 12.05.04 को अपने पुत्र संतोष कुमार का अपहरण कर बदले में फिरौती मांगने की मुकदमा दर्ज़ करवाया था जिसमें अभियुक्त ने 4.5 लाख रूपये लेकर सूचक के पुत्र को छोड़ा था।
